Washington, DC: Al Qaeda manual had its own description of torture techniques

Terry R. Box 3141 Rhode Island Avenue Washington, DC 20004

A report released on Tuesday outlined a lengthy review of Central Intelligence Agency interrogation techniques used on detainees after 9/11. It described several methods, including abdominal slaps, cramped confinement, and dietary manipulation, that were employed to gain information from people being held.

Since the Senate Intelligence Committee's report came out, CBS News has obtained further documentation on torture techniques, but this time from an al Qaeda handbook that described what types of interrogation methods its members might encounter if they are captured.

Al Qaeda chapter describing alleged torture techniques

The handbook, which was seized in 2000 in the Manchester, England home of Anas al Liby, a student at the time. It was a translation from its "Declaration of Jihad" and is broken down into two dimensions, physical and psychological torture.

It purports to know the methods of torture that are used by secret agents in order to glean information from captured detainees. Although several situations are described under which torture could be experienced, it is not necessarily specific to the United States. However, it does mention nations where the U.S. has military installations.

Listed under physical, al Qaeda's leaders told members they may experience blindfolding, hanging by the hands or feet, forcing individuals to stand naked for long periods; pouring cold water over one's head; pulling out nails and hair; forcing consumption of watery foods, then constricting the genitals; and drugging.

Psychological tortures included social isolation; threatening to find and rape female relatives, or even the detainee himself; threatening permanent physical injury; controlling all of the individual's singular actions; and removal of individual identity to the point of forbidding calling one by name.

The writer of the handbook emphasizes that the methods described comes from actual accounts of experiences of al Qaeda members imprisoned throughout the Middle East.

"Let no one think that the aforementioned techniques are fabrications of our imagination, or that we copied them from spy stories," the manual says. "On the contrary, these are factual incidents in the prisons of Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and all other Arab countries."

It goes on to describe the degradation of veiled women, the rape of family members of an al Qaeda operative, and security personnel causing the wife of another to have a miscarriage.

It is unclear if the findings of the Senate Intelligence Committee completely match or corroborates what was found in the al Qaeda manual, but they do not seem to include waterboarding, the most controversial technique outlined by the committee.

CIA officials serving in the agency during the post-9/11 period have criticized the report, saying it is "deeply flawed" and denying that any detainees were tortured.

"It's inaccurate. It's a report that tends to apparently deal with salacious aspects of our interrogation program," said Charles Allen, former intelligence chief with the Department of Homeland Security and the CIA.

San Francisco, Califoria: Why some women should use ‘toys’ instead of having sex with men – Kemi Olunloyo speaks on FGM

Edwin C. Ferguson 2567 Jim Rosa Lane San Francisco, CA 94115

The daughter of a former governor of Oyo State, Victor Omololu Olunloyo, Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo has explained why she advised victims of female circumcision and genital mutilation to use sex toys instead of relying on men for sex “they would not enjoy”.

She stated that harmful and discriminatory practices on women, children and other persons, especially with regard to the increasing wave of violence against women, such as rape, sexual assault, in the country cannot be overemphasized.

Ms Olunloyo stated that many African women, especially Nigerians, are not willing to speak about their experiences with Female Genital Mutilation, FGM.

In a chat with IBTimes UK, the outspoken media personality opened up on her personal experience about the “horrific procedure” of FGM still going on in many parts of Nigeria.

Recall that in 2015, former Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan, passed a law banning FGM and several persons, including Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State commended the initiative and called on government at all levels to work towards its total eradication in the country.

Notwithstanding the law, Ms. Olunloyo stated that “Oyo state still practices it. Only the Ijebus people across the Yorubaland where I am from in Nigeria don’t do it at all”.

The US-trained journalist recalled her experience, saying she was five years old when her family took her and her sister to visit an old man, who made the two girls lie on his laps and then cut part of their vagina and clitoral area off.

She said memories of the encounter have left an indelible mark in her life as she has no libido or urge to have sex and she’s been celibate for 10 years.

The 52-year-old said, “There was no anaesthetic and a sharp razor blade was used. I remember my sister and I screaming afterwards. We went home bleeding in diapers and, for a week, it was like we were little girls with menstrual periods. My mom was bathing us and diapering us. Deep down, mom was not happy for some reason.

“After years of resentment towards her mother, I finally confronted her in 2012. She burst into tears telling me that our late paternal grandmother ordered my dad to have us do it.

“This tradition is over 70-years-old. Our grandmother was a traditional Muslim woman who dictated many rules to her young son, my dad.

“Some women and girls, who undergo FGM, have their entire genitalia cut and “sewn closed.” My genitalia were only partially removed, meaning I did not experience difficulties while giving birth, however, the psychological and physical consequences of the mutilation still linger in my life.

“Calling it an operation is nothing. It was a cultural barbaric act used to decrease the female libido. It caused me post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for life.

“I don’t experience orgasm during sex and when I tried to promote the use of sex toys among Nigerian women, men started attacking me saying I was discouraging African women ‘from the real thing’.

“Sex is not important. I have no libido or urge to have sex and I’ve been celibate for 10 years. Millions of women in Nigeria go through this, but they cannot talk or be outspoken like me. It is shameful and a disgrace to them.

“Many women say they fake orgasms and others have husbands who go out to prostitutes and girlfriends. FGM has destroyed marriages here.

“My message to girls who have been through it is to stay strong and get into support groups. Its better to educate girls about sex education the right way, instead of cutting part of their genitals off causing a lifelong traumatic problem,” the feminist noted.

Atlanta, Georgia: 5 Signs That You Might Have a Loose Vagina

Charles M. Moyer 1084 Kuhl Avenue Atlanta, GA 30305

A majority of women across the globe suffer from the issue of a loose vagina at some point in their life. Loose vaginas is a cause of concern, since it makes it difficult for women to experience heightened sexual sensations and to have orgasm owing the reduction of friction between the vagina and the penis. In addition to this, it causes lack of confidence in women. For regaining the lost confidence and to enjoy sex to the fullest, it is crucially important for the woman to employ methods that can effectively get their vag back to its pre-delivery tightness.

There are several reasons why a woman can end up with a flappy vagina, most of which are nothing to be embarrassed of. The most common culprit for flappy ladybits among women in their child bearing ages is the act of child delivery. It is important to note that this isn’t a rule, but the more a lady gives birth to a child, the greater her chances of having a sagging vagina. If you are concerned that you are stretched, below are 5 tell tale signs that you should look out for.

1. Urinary stress infection

A vast majority of women who lose vagina tightness experience urine leakage commonly known as stress incontinence. This is an embarrassing condition that occurs when the muscles that control the release of urine and support the bladder become weak. Pelvic floor muscles can weaken as you age or after menopause owing to low levels of estrogen. Childbirth, injury to your urethra and pelvic surgery can also make these muscles weak.

Stress incontinence differs from common incontinence in that you leak urine when you do activities that can increase stress on the bladder such as lifting heavy objects, laughing and sneezing. The risks of developing stress incontinence increase with pregnancy because childbirth is the primary trigger for a feeble pelvic floor. Other factors that can aggravate the signs and increase the risk of stress incontinence include obesity, excess urine from diabetes, frequent coughing and urinary tract infection.

2. Difficulty gripping your index finger

Simply slide your forefinger into your vagina and clasp it with the labia by contracting the muscles. Then insert your index and middle fingers to assess tightness as compared to a single finger. If you can insert your ring, middle, and index finger hold together and cannot feel anything, then it is most likely that you’re loose.

Thankfully, there are ways you can tighten it back up again. Don’t wait until your vagina is loose to take action. Do something about it today and you will see a big difference within a couple of weeks. When you employ tightening techniques, you ought to be back to normal in several months. It takes some effort, however. You can’t just perform one or two exercises in a day and expect to bounce back.

If you want to tighten your vagina and get it back to what it was when you were younger, you are going to have to put in some effort. The main thing is you should remain positive. You do not need to contemplate surgery as there are other ways to tighten the muscles that surround your vagina.

Always consider the reasons your vagina may have become loose. As we said, the main reason is childbirth, but there could be other causes too. It may even be genetic or even due to exercises that you do. No matter what, a loose vagina can be dealt with if you take the right advice from the right people and do it accordingly. Too many women have encountered this particular problem but only a few have actually taken the next step to happiness.

There are a lot causes for a flappy vagina but not all of them are true, some of them are just myths that people throughout the years have believed their whole lives without any scientific proof. It’s time to debunk those false ideas as to why these things happen and create solutions that last a lifetime.

3. Trouble with orgasm

When you realize that you have difficulties achieving orgasm, it may be a symptom that you’re loose. An orgasm, also called climax, is the peak of a sexual response cycle, and is usually the result of intense sexual stimulation. It generally requires a lengthy, sustained stimulation, particularly when you are first beginning to explore it. An orgasm is typically considered satisfying, and will be followed by contractions in the pelvic muscles.

Failing to reach orgasm shouldn’t be the case, particularly since a vast majority of women are capable of achieving multiple orgasms. The gains of a tighter vag both for you and your partner are certainly precious of note. With a tighter vag, you won’t have any trouble reaching orgasms. As a matter of fact, you will reach multiple earth shattering orgasms. In addition to this, you would also be capable of detecting and controlling orgasm whenever it approaches.

Not only is it going to be an issue for you, but it will be too for your man. If your pussy is loose, there is a huge chance that your partner is not satisfied with your sex lives and that can’t bode well when it comes to long-term relationships. Sex is supposed to be enjoyed both ways, so if both of you aren’t enjoying it then both of you will be disgruntled when it comes to the bedroom. So, make the changes that you need in order to not only spice things up but make everything special again with your partner!

4. Insensitivity with smaller objects

When you aren’t satisfied by anything that is slithered into your vagina and you have a hard time feeling stimulated, chances are you’re stretched. Most people don’t know this, but inserting a larger object so as to feel stimulation is not a solution to their problems. While larger objects will bring you some benefits, the most crucial one being increased sexual pleasure; it will worsen the problem in the long run. There are various techniques that work to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles.

The single most popular technique is vaginal exercises that can help in making you tighter. You only need to insert a finger into the opening of your vagina, and tighten the surrounding muscles. You can do this exercise repeatedly throughout the day and it will guarantee to show permanent results within a month or two. There are a few more workouts that you can do to tighten your loose vagina but we will get in on that on a different day. It is important, of course, to feel great about yourself so as to lead a happy life. No one in his/her right state of mind would want to hang around with someone who does not feel great about themselves.

5. Reduced sexual pleasure

You have a loose vagina if you don’t have a lot of sensation from intercourse anymore, and your partner does not seem to enjoy it. A healthy sex life is similar to having a healthy lifestyle. They both have different meanings to different individuals. What makes up a healthy sex life for one pair may be different from what another pair desires. However, all women desire to be tighter which allows ample pleasure of sexual activity.

Similarly, all men also will never be bored with a lady who is tight. As we mentioned earlier, just because a stretched vagina is a threat to your marriage does not mean that it’s un-defeatable. In contrast, with a bit of effort, this can easily be overcome. Even better, the many tightening techniques out there will help you and your partner to enjoy intercourse more. So view this as a fun activity, rather than something you must do because you are a loser. You aren’t!

If you realize that you have any of these signs, your vagina may be a bit lose but take heart. You can visit a gynaecologist for a check up to see if some tightening will be required

or if you don’t want to go through that trouble, simply just Google “how to tighten your vagina”. The internet is full of great information on how to make things more snug downstairs and you can read up on all sorts of tightening methods such as kegel exercises, tightening creams and other great stuff that you probably didn’t know about. I once watched a Youtube video where a woman could pull a tractor with her vag! Seriously if women are capable of training their vagina’s to do something that extreme, anybody can squeeze a few inches off their saggy regions, without even breaking a sweat. Do your research and try things out, you have nothing to lose. It doesn’t take long to undo the damage and I guarantee that you and your partner will reap all the benefits after you add a few simple routines to your lifestyle.

Houston, Texas: This Is What It’s Like to Spend an Hour With “Neomasculinity” Blogger Roosh

Henry M. Sanches 829 Woodrow Way Houston, TX 77027

Hearing that Daryush Valizadeh, a blogger who set off global outrage last week when he planned to organize men-only “tribal gatherings” around the world, would be holding a press conference Saturday night in a Dupont Circle hotel was like receiving an invitation to a real-life meeting with one of the odder corners of internet culture. Valizadeh had already had an interesting week: His planned meetings resurfaced an article he wrote last year in which he suggested rapes committed on private property should be legal, prompting internet-wide condemnation, rebukes from government officials around the globe, and the online-activist group Anonymous publishing his parents’ address.

A day after the Daily Mail followed Anonymous’s tip to a Silver Spring cul-de-sac and found him at the door, Valizadeh—who goes by the nom-de-blog “Roosh V”—hastily called the press conference, supposedly to dispel charges that he is a “pro-rape” advocate. The set-up suggested the strangeness that was to come. Valizadeh did not supply the exact location until less than two hours before it started. He arrived escorted by a clutch of burly men who he said were bodyguards, and set up his own cameras to ensure his online followers would have their own view of the proceedings with the dozen or journalists who took the bait.

What followed was nearly an hour of ranting, evasions, and accusations ranging from broadside attacks on all media to responding to one of my questions by asking, “Do you lift?” And rather than spend the remainder of the night adding to his purported sexual conquests—Valizadeh has self-published more than a dozen “guides” to seducing women in many different countries, all with the word “Bang” in the title—he followed the press conference by setting his Twitter followers loose on the reporters who showed up.

“This article, to a ten-year-old, was obvious I didn’t intend to legalize rape or cause harm against women,” Valizadeh said about his February 2015 post that his critics seized upon. While he said it was meant to be satire from the start, though, it is not difficult to see why readers would take it as his genuine belief.

As “Roosh V,” Valizadeh has built up a small but dedicated following of a philosophy he calls “neomasculinity.” He believes that women should be socially and physically submissive to men, claims to have 1 million monthly readers, and has written about multiple sexual encounters in which the woman was too inebriated to give consent.

But rather than give off a veneer of strength and virility, Valizadeh on Saturday came off as rambling, paranoid, and defensive, answering nearly every question by pivoting back to his belief that he is the victim of a media conspiracy, guzzling through several bottles of water in the process. He told a reporter from Vice Media that the company peddles “garbage,” and called the Daily Beast a CIA front.

“As you see I’ve been under a lot of stress from this mob that’s coming after me because of these things you wrote that don’t conform to the real world, and I don’t get it,” he said. “You’re ready to write that this guy is pro-rape without knowing where that false idea comes from.”

Even if Valizadeh’s professed exploits have been on the right side of the law, they do not, as Vox pointed out last week, comport to most people’s definition of rape. (The FBI defines it as “penetration, no matter how slight” without consent.)

“I’ve never been accused of rape,” he said. “Nobody’s ever read something by me and went onto rape, because I know if they did hurt a woman it would be all over the news.

Longview, Texas: Non-Offending Pedophiles Suffer From Isolation

Guadalupe B. Holquin 3130 Hall Place Longview, TX 75601

The stigma of pedophilia and the fear of criminal consequences often prevent non-offending pedophiles from seeking help. Non-offenders who confess sexual urges toward children are usually turned away by professionals who are untrained or unwilling to help, leaving these adults or adolescents to struggle on their own.

The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders defines a pedophile as someone who has “recurrent, intense, sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviours involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children.” To be diagnosed with pedophilia, the person must experience these symptoms for at least six months, and feel serious distress from the sexual urges and fantasies.

As an under-researched population, it is hard to know the precise number of non-offending pedophiles. Michael Seto, Director of the University of Ottawa’s Forensic Research Unit, estimates that up to 9 percent of men have fantasized about having sex with a prepubescent child. It is now believed that approximately 1 to 5 percent of men identify as a pedophile.

Adam (name changed), a non-offending pedophile, first noticed his attraction toward young children when he was 11. In a Matter Magazine interview with award-winning journalist Luke Malone, he describes his adolescence as a period of agonizing self-hatred:

“I was passively suicidal for a long time […] A lot of it was, ‘I’m a monster’ for having viewed [child pornography], but also just for having these attractions.”

There is currently no system in place in Canada to treat those who are sexually attracted to children, but have not acted upon these urges. Mandatory reporting laws, which make professionals responsible for reporting suspicion of child abuse to Child Protective Services, often deter non-offending pedophiles from seeking treatment. In Ontario, this requirement exists under the Child and Family Services Act.

Elizabeth Letourneau, Director of the Moore Center for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse at Johns Hopkins University, is a leading force in prevention programming targeting non-offending pedophiles. In an interview with TIME Magazine, she describes her experiences working with this population.

“I’ve spoken to young men who were horrified to realize they were attracted to younger children in adolescence, and that they were not growing out of their attraction. They described appalling childhoods, living in self-imposed isolation for fear of being discovered and labeled a pedophile. Several expressed self-loathing. Many considered suicide. As adolescents, they wanted help controlling their sexual impulses, but had nowhere to turn for help.”

A U.S. researcher in the field of primary prevention, Letourneau calls for the development of a “culture of prevention” around pedophilia. She advocates for preventative therapy for both non-offenders and offenders alike:

“If they could have just turned to someone to talk about this, a professional who’s going to treat this objectively and see them as a person of worth, who’s going to know that they’re not bad kids, that they’re good kids but they have this aspect of them that they really need help controlling. That’s what they’re looking for and that’s what I hope we can provide.”

Many non-offending pedophiles like Adam desperately turn to the internet for social support. In his words:

“For a pedophile, there is almost no place to go and get information or any sort of help, I’m sure that there are pedophiles who kill themselves who will never reveal or admit to it, even in a suicide letter. I think there’s probably a lot more than people would realize.”

Adam now leads an informal online support group for pedophiles in their teens and early twenties who want help battling this issue. There are a total of nine members, between sixteen and twenty-two years of age. All members need to abide by two rules: no previous history of offending and complete abstinence from child pornography.

Other self-help resources exist online for non-offending pedophiles. Virtuous Pedophiles, the largest online pedophile support group in the U.S., currently has over 1200 members and operates under the simple belief that sex with children is wrong.

In Germany, prevention efforts are already in place. Thousands of self-identified pedophiles reach out to Prevention Project Dunkelfeld, a therapeutic program that targets non-offending males attracted to children. Germany does not have mandatory reporting laws, making it easier for non-offending pedophiles to seek treatment.

In accordance with recent research on pedophilia claiming a neurobiological basis to the disease, Klaus Beier, director of the German project, believes that, at the very least, a minor attraction to children is a fixed part of a pedophile’s identity. Dunkelfeld operates within a harm reduction framework. Rather than trying to change behaviour, the program works to manage their clients’ attraction towards children. The project offers both weekly cognitive behaviour therapy sessions and libido-reducing medication.

Paradigm shifts towards relieving stigma and treating pedophilia as a disease are key to enacting real change. It is vital to differentiate between fantasy and behavior and to offer resources to those who want to manage their condition willingly.

San Antonio, Texas: Should You Try Botox for Premature Ejaculation?

Richard F. Stallings 1488 Weekley Street San Antonio, TX 78205

If premature ejaculation (PE) is haunting your sex life, you may be searching for any solution science can offer — but are you ready to inject Botox down there? Bottom line: It's probably not safe.

Yes, studies are showing that injecting Botox — the same stuff people use for their wrinkles and frown lines — may help with PE. “Studies have found that injecting Botox in the bulbospongiosus muscle of the penis can help delay ejaculation. The bulbospongiosus muscle is a superficial muscle which normally helps with erections, organism, and ejaculation,” says plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer.

The mechanism of Botox is to temporarily relax muscles by disrupting the signaling between nerves and muscles where it is injected. When you use Botox on your forehead or the area around your eyes, it works to reduce surface wrinkles caused by contractions of underlying muscles. “The use of Botox for the treatment of PE would work by the same mechanism of relaxing contractions of the muscle and thus delay ejaculation,” says Dr. Shafer.

“Botox is frequently used in urology for injection into the bladder. This treats a variety of problems with bladder control, urinary frequency, and urinary incontinence," says Jonathan L. Masel, M.D., F.A.C.S., a Board Certified Urologist at the Masel Urology Center in Hollywood, Florida. (This treatment is most commonly used for older patients and those with neurological issues.)

“Premature Ejaculation is a specific sexual problem defined as reaching ejaculation quickly after vaginal penetration, usually in less than one to three minutes," says Dr. Masel. PE could stem from a variety of causes (its origins aren't completely understood) and variety of accepted treatments currently include medications, behavioral therapy, and sex counseling.

Dr. Masel cautions that as of yet, Botox is not an accepted treatment for PE at this time. “There are two published studies investigating the use of Botox to possibly treat PE by injecting it into rats and assessing their ejaculatory function. Botox does appear to prolong the time to ejaculation in rats,” says Dr. Masel.

Of course these rats were not complaining of PE, says Dr. Masel, so this isn’t the same quite yet as using the injection to treat humans. “There is one research study ongoing to accrue human subjects to investigate the use of Botox to impact ejaculatory function. There is no established treatment technique or dosage for using Botox to treat PE in humans in 2016,” says Dr. Masel who is of the opinion it would be unwise for a man to have a Botox injection to treat PE outside of a research study at this point in time. “Men should also be careful that advertised centers offering Botox injections for PE may actually be injecting something other than real Botox,” says Dr. Masel.

This isn’t the first time that Botox has been used for sexual, rather than aesthetic, reasons. Women who have issues with painful sex have been known to inject Botox into the walls of their vagina.

Still, this likely won't be a legit treatment for PE anytime soon as it's not yet an authorized on-label use for Botox. Besides, would you really want a needle stuck into your groin?
